The Coronation Medal, a Canadian honour created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, was launched by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, recognizing those who have made significant contributions to Canada and their home province.

The Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia has nominated a selection of exceptional British Columbians for the medal, with subsequent approval by the Chancellery of Honours in Ottawa. Across the country, the medal will be awarded to 30,000 deserving individuals, and is the first Canadian honour to mark a coronation.

Recipients of the Coronation Medal were honoured at ceremonies held in Victoria at Government House, HMCS Discovery in Vancouver, and at small private presentations throughout the province, where Her Honour, on behalf of the Governor General, awarded the medal to British Columbian recipients.
