The Government House Foundation Gala Masquerade Ball

We are most pleased to extend an invitation to the Government House Foundation Gala Ball, taking place at Government House, the ceremonial home of all British Columbians, on Saturday, October 27, 2018.

Featuring live entertainment by the Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy, and a delectable stand-up dinner and open bar representing B.C.’s best food and drink, the remarkable setting of Government House’s grand ballroom will play host to a Masquerade Ball, held in support of the Foundation and the legacy programs of the Lieutenant Governor.

Tickets: $300 (as this is a fundraising event, a tax receipt for $100 will be issued with each ticket)

  • Mail a cheque payable to “The Government House Foundation” to 1401 Rockland Avenue, Victoria BC, V8S 1V9
  • Fill out a form and email to [email protected] or fax to 250-387-2078

Dress: Black tie optional, masks encouraged! Simple masks will be available or fancy masks for purchase by donation.

Accommodations: A special rate is available at the Fairmont Empress Hotel for guests. Either book online or call 250-384-8111 and ask to book under “Government House Masquerade Ball”.

Rooms will be held until September 27th, 2018. After that date, the special rate will be honoured, but any remaining rooms will be subject to availability. 

In the past, funds raised have helped support a variety of the Lieutenant Governor’s legacy programs, including Write 2 Read, supporting the construction of libraries in remote Indigenous communities; Stewards of the Future, engaging youth in stewardship projects; and the prestigious Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for Excellence in British Columbia Wines, promoting B.C. wines. Your generous contributions also support enhancement of the Estate of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, a National Historic site recognized for its exquisite gardens, unique landscapes and heritage buildings.
