An opportunity to apply your exceptional service and hospitality skills. Government House is in search of customer focused and hospitality minded professionals to join the team as part-time service employees.

The Office of the Lieutenant Governor and Government House itself is multi-dimensional, supporting several distinct lines of business including constitutional and international protocol matters, ceremonial and hospitality events, and the management, and maintenance of Government House as a National Historic Site. The role of staff is to provide direct support to the Lieutenant Governor and to the senior management of Government House; to maintain the Government House structures and grounds; and to carry out all obligations, events and other activities in the highest standards of professionalism, observance of protocols, and expectations of the people of British Columbia.

As part of the Service Team at Government House, you will assist and provide various services for the approximately 140 events that occur at Government House each year.

Responsibilities:
*Working at various functions while working with a team of engaged servers, bartenders, and culinary staff to flawlessly execute events
*Creating memorable and lasting guest experiences by providing outstanding customer service
*Using your excellent people skills, combined with enthusiasm, to connect with your event hosts and your on-site team
*Working in a fast-paced environment with a love of food and beverage
*Being part of a team of positive, high achievers who care about their guests and the company they are representing

Requirements:
*Previous service industry experience, ideally in events or banquets
*A warm, confident, and customer focused personality with excellent communication skills
*Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
*An ability to work on your own and with a team
*A flexible work schedule with evening, weekend, and weekday availability
*Serving It Right
*Bartending experience within the service industry (an asset)
*Your own vehicle (an asset)
